1. Your latest single "Be a Lady" is a powerful collaboration with OCTO CRURA. Can you tell us how this partnership came about and what inspired the collaboration?
The collaboration with OCTO CRURA happened quite naturally. We have always admired Katlin and Velenia's unique vocal styles and the intensity they bring to their performances. When we started working on "Be a Lady," we knew we wanted powerful voices to complement our own. Reaching out to them felt like the perfect fit for this project. The song itself speaks about empowerment and individuality, and OCTO CRURA's fierce energy aligned perfectly with that message.

2. "Be a Lady" blends symphonic metal, djent, and industrial metal into one dynamic track. What was the creative process like in merging these genres together?
Merging these genres was an exciting challenge. Each of us brought our own influences to the table, from symphonic metal’s grandiosity to djent's heavy riffs and the mechanical precision of industrial. The key was finding a balance where all these elements could coexist without overpowering each other. We started with the symphonic backbone, layering in the heaviness of djent and the sharp, gritty texture of industrial metal. It was like piecing together a puzzle, where every genre had its space but contributed to the overall energy of the track.

3. The song sends a bold message of empowerment, challenging societal norms and celebrating individuality. What do you hope listeners, particularly women, will take away from this anthem?
We hope listeners, especially women, will feel inspired to embrace their own strength and uniqueness. "Be a Lady" is about breaking away from the boxes society tries to place us in. It’s a reminder that there’s no single definition of what it means to be a woman—or to be anyone, for that matter. We want people to feel empowered to define themselves on their own terms and to take pride in their individuality.

4. The track features clean and growl vocals from three singers. How did you approach balancing these vocal styles to create the powerful, multifaceted sound of "Be a Lady"?
The vocal balance was crucial in shaping the dynamic of "Be a Lady." Each vocal style—clean, growls, and everything in between—had to serve a purpose. We approached the arrangement by allowing each singer to shine in moments that best suited their strength. Clean vocals add clarity and emotion, while growls inject raw power and intensity. The interplay between the three voices creates a push-and-pull effect, amplifying the message of the song. The challenge was making sure that no style overshadowed the others, but instead, they worked together as a cohesive unit.

The video for "Be a Lady" was designed to visually capture the essence of the song’s message. It’s a blend of bold imagery and dark, atmospheric tones, symbolizing the struggle between conforming to societal expectations and breaking free from them. We used elements like contrasting costumes and set designs to represent the duality of strength and vulnerability. The visuals also reflect the different vocal styles—clean, growls, and everything in between—creating a dynamic that feels both intense and empowering. We wanted the video to be a visual anthem that matches the energy of the music.

6. "Be a Lady" is part of your upcoming album Kaleidoscope, set for release in January 2025. What can fans expect from this new album, and how does it compare to your previous work?
Kaleidoscope represents a step forward for us. It’s more experimental in terms of blending genres, pushing boundaries both musically and thematically. While our previous albums laid the groundwork for our symphonic and theatrical sound, Kaleidoscope takes it to the next level by incorporating heavier and more diverse influences, such as djent and industrial. Fans can expect intense energy, complex arrangements, and emotionally charged lyrics. The album is also more personal, as we dive into themes of identity, fear, and the human experience.

7. The tracklist for Kaleidoscope includes intriguing titles like "Fog of Fear" and "The Inquisition." Can you give us any insights into the themes explored throughout the album?
"The Inquisition" was released in March as a standalone gothic track, and it set the tone for Kaleidoscope by exploring themes of judgment, persecution, and resistance. It’s a dark and atmospheric piece that dives into the human experience of being scrutinized and the desire to break free from it. As for "Fog of Fear," this song is more aligned with the sound of our previous album Glitch—it’s darker, more modern, and explores the feeling of being trapped in uncertainty. Throughout the album, we touch on themes of fear, identity, and transformation, always shifting perspectives like a true kaleidoscope, showing how different angles can reveal entirely new realities.

8. How does working with DarkTunes Music Group influence the direction of your music, and what are the advantages of being part of this label?
DarkTunes has been an incredible partner in helping us reach a broader audience while maintaining our creative freedom. They understand the blend of genres we’re working with and have provided the resources and support to help us push our boundaries. The symphonic element is the heart of our music. It provides the foundation upon which we build everything else. The orchestral arrangements add a sense of grandeur and emotion, creating a cinematic atmosphere that allows us to tell deeper, more layered stories. Whether it’s through soaring string sections or haunting choirs, the symphonic side adds both beauty and drama to our sound. It’s the glue that holds together the contrasting elements, from heavy riffs to industrial beats, creating a cohesive and powerful listening experience.

10. Your collaboration with OCTO CRURA adds an extra layer to the music. What did Katlin and Velenia bring to the table in terms of energy and creativity for this track?
Katlin and Velenia brought an unparalleled intensity to "Be a Lady." Their vocal versatility—shifting from harsh growls to melodic harmonies—gave the track a powerful edge. They also infused their own creative vision into the song, adding layers of depth and emotion that complemented our own style. 11. As you prepare for the release of Kaleidoscope, what are you most excited about, and how do you see the evolution of AEVUM’s sound moving forward?
We’re incredibly excited to share the full Kaleidoscope experience with our fans. This album represents our growth as musicians and as individuals, and we’re eager to see how people will connect with the new material. Looking ahead, we see our sound continuing to evolve, blending more diverse influences while staying true to our symphonic roots. We want to keep pushing boundaries, both musically and thematically, and create music that resonates on multiple levels—emotionally, intellectually, and sonically.
