Interview Blasphemer.py

Blasphemer.py emerged in 2011, blending black and death metal with themes of resistance. Their journey shifted to melodic death metal, embracing Guarani lyrics and international collaborations.

1. Can you tell us about the origins of Blasphemer.py and how the band came together in 2011?

hello there!,thanks a lot for we are here in your page,we are very happy for this, yes, Blasphemer.py starts in 2011 with a drummer, bass player and vocals, and me Luis in guitar,im chosen the name because im love the thras metal from germany and in the sign of evil is the most importantly ep im heard in my life and the song "Blasphemer" was perfect, because too, in the age what our country it was under control of the crown spanish and the mission jesuits were expelled of our country, the crown spanish he orders delete the guarani because is a language blasphemous againts the crown, well is perfect this name is perfect for the band i say to myself, but in the beginning we play more black metal with a touch of death metal and in english sing againts the catolic church, with the time, 2013 im decided changed the line and sing in our second language oficcial talking about historics battles in diferents times like nation, and decided too changes the style and play melodic death metal with a paulatine evolution well i think so jajaja,2012 came out the firts demo "under the torment of baphomet,2015 the firts album "Arasunu" the firts album purely in guarani,in this other years write the second disc and build the study for the band, we participated in other compilates and out a song in 2020 "vapor cue" but im not sure for that line and write again the second disc im think 3 times in this years, and the 4°,5° and 6° album, and now we out the firts single of this second disc paraguari with the addition of internacional participations around the world im mean im very happy the patientia and discover the talent like compositor is all.

2. Your first album, "Arasunu," was notable for being one of the first in Paraguay to feature lyrics in Guarani. What inspired this choice, and how has it influenced your music?

well,it like said before, in 2013 im choiced this changed because im like too the melodic death metal in the line of in flames,at the gates and thoses greats bands of the sweden scene, and like too bands what sings in his second language and im said, hey why im no trying here, and im begins write the riffs with the other guys what stay with me in this age, build the disc step by step and finally in 2015 came out arasunu really good disc but for me im think mmmm is not enought i know im can composing much better stuffs.

3. Blasphemer.py has collaborated with musicians from notable bands like Six Feet Under and Rings of Saturn. How did these collaborations come about, and what was the experience like working with such established artists?

well, i meet a band called Altars of rebellion from colombia in 2020 during the pandemia, fernando the leader is a great musician and a great keyboardist, during the 2020 this band came out 2 singles with the drummer marco pritruzella(six feet under, rigns of saturn) then this 2 songs was re-recording for the album, this disc came out under the name of Capital phase of karma, well in february of 2021,fernando he called me and ask me if i can recordings guitars for the album because their guitars players can´t recording for reasons of work,ok i said, sent me the songs and the projects,I've never played technical death metal before And this album for me is at the moment the most difficult one I've recorded so far, record 4 songs alone only having the projects and drums and nothing im happy for the result and re-recording the last song "thirds for your throne" with marco for me is a experience I never thought I'd live.

4. The upcoming album, "1811," features collaborations with members of Destruction, Rotting Christ, and others. Can you share some insights into the creative process behind this album and what fans can expect from it?

uff im only trying make the most purely extreme metal and honest, im love the extreme metal and i try to released music with intention or with a good concept, the process always beggins with the guitars because the guitars give me the base for the build the rest of the instruments then when im define the instrumentation I'm looking for a topic from our history that I think is great for the topic and then write the lyrics, sometimes it drives me crazy to write jajaja easily can re-recording a song or rewrite im think 20 times more or less,in the case of the participations of this greats bands well i think this is the result of write good songs and good concepts, when im meet martin from Destruction im ask he is posible he make a solo  in one of the songs and i sent the song and really he love our music and the history concept of the band same with jonkal guitar player or ex guitar player of Rotting christ he love too all the concept we drive like band and vocals andry lagiou vocalist in the project of tim ripper owens pyramid, all this people come from greats bands and come to be part of our music is very great i think,So I can only say that people who discover our music enjoy it and know that there are still artists who really think about getting good things and not bullshit just for fame or money, I'm not saying that money isn't great and even more so making money from music but making money with bullshit is for me detestable.

5. Your music blends melodic death metal with symphonic elements. How do you balance these two aspects in your compositions, and what do you think sets Blasphemer.py apart from other bands in the genre?

jajaja i don´t know really,i just try to make our music the most honest posible combined diferents styles of metal in one place and that everything is in its right measure obviously with a great pasions for all songs and in the final result combined with our second language but for me for moments is very complicated find the corrects words when im have the instrumentation because in the guarani several words they are very long in the pronunciation and when you trying  Bringing this words them to music is when the fun begins jajaja.

6. Blasphemer.py has been featured in documentaries and compilations worldwide. How has this exposure impacted the band's reach and fanbase?

Well, appear in documentaries in other countries and compilations with other bands are great, but I always focus on music and making music make me happy and above all, that more people know our history as a country that we have had bloody wars that have almost extinguished us,3 countries together and they could not defeat us,is the base of all this, appearing for example in the book like The Ripping Tongues (2021) of heavy music atwork with great bands like Sonata Arctica, Children of Bodom, Grave Digger and many more, Rays in their days were great but I always try to keep my feet on the ground,In our country we are not popular, but I don't really care, just the music and working on this and I make music my main job for my life,is only i need.

7. The incorporation of Guarani and Latin languages in your lyrics adds a unique cultural dimension to your music. How do you approach incorporating these languages into your songwriting, and what do you hope listeners take away from it?

To be honest with you, my head or my conscience is the one who mixes both languages, when I have all the structure and I listen to it in the headphones to understand everything that happens, my mind starts to throw me phrases or verses with images jajaja it's a bit weird but that's how this comes out,im hope the listeners heard a good song for me see the people who discover our music and he likes it is enought for me.

8. What challenges have you faced as a band from Paraguay in the international metal scene, and how have you overcome them?

jajaja economic definitely, but I think the biggest challenge with extreme music is to keep going with this, a lot of people make music for stupid reasons like their desire to be famous or rich pffff I hate all that shit, I love making money with honest music and working with other artist of around the world I also study production and music theory to make more and better music every day,in the metal scene we are a band more of the world,in the end of the day only important is the music in the life of one.

9. Looking ahead, what are your goals and aspirations for Blasphemer.py in the coming years? How do you see the band evolving musically and creatively?

Traveling to Europe and making the center of operation to Blasphemer.py with other musicians, is the only thing ahead, for me it is very complicated to make music with other people who do not love music, for several years from 2016 I write everything for myself because if you find idiot people what ask you "hey i´m wish to be famous" jajaja no,no,no this place is not for you brother in this place we  make extreme metal this not for you, musically and creatively we are make the third album now too, where again we combinated now, egypt with one dialect of one tribe of our country, talking about the creation of the world blend with sci-fi elements, is a trilogy where again changed the line instrumental, On our social networks we uploaded a lot the advance of this third album, obviously with more people around the world and great bands and then finally playing in concerts step by step through Europe and finding more and more opportunities for the music of Blasphemer.py and our culture of our country, because I want to say that it is also a responsibility Bringing our flag and culture to other places.
