1. Your
musical roots trace back to your grandfather and his brother, who were pioneers
in Finnish film music. How have their legacies influenced the sound and
direction of Magnadur?
The Legacy
of my Grandparents and Their relatives are directing me to go more on
atmospheric elements on my songs and feel that is part of me that songs have
more dramatic elements that we are more use to have in movies.
2. You
mentioned that your musical style tends towards harder and brutal metal while
still incorporating melodic elements. How do you navigate between these
contrasting aspects in your music?
I feel that
melodic and still very brutal and hard are possible to do on a same song its
great mix and the melodic approach is often included this way, my music is
going on summer Single realises way harder but still with melodic style.
3. What
can fans expect from your upcoming releases in the summer of 2024? Are there
any specific themes or concepts that you're exploring in your new material?
Fans can
expect harder and more brutal Magnadur and i have developt more unique style of
singing and more harder way, i like personally more upcoming Magnadur realises
i hope more people can find my new way and music on Summer 24.
4. Finland
has a rich tradition of heavy metal music. How do you feel Magnadur contributes
to or stands out within the Finnish metal scene?
I try to
get on top Metal scene on Finland and also try to reach higher globally with my
new music that is coming Summer 24 and Later is ready to reach new
hights!
5. Could
you walk us through your typical songwriting process for Magnadur? Is there a
primary songwriter, or is it more of a collaborative effort?
I do all my
songwriting by my self and also all the mixing and mastering, normally the ideo
for the song can come any given moment and then you just make lyrics and
normally i do first all the instrument parts and after that vocals and then
mixing and mastering the song and making also music video very fast after the
song is ready!
6. In
addition to Magnadur, you've been involved in other musical projects like Mc
Pomppa P and Decidua nivis. How do these projects differ from Magnadur, and do
they influence your work with the band in any way?
Mc Pomppa P
started the whole thing and i am greatfull that many people found that on
excpecially on Latin America parts, Mc Pomppa P. Changed more artistic project
and got way more Relative movie world atmospher on songs, hope people go and
listen that also and check the music videos. I havent done any music for long
time for Mc Pomppa P but there is one album coming for that also on Summer.
Decidua nivis is totally different music genre its actually Trance/rap/electro
music style mix that i found interesting to do also sometimes. After Summer
2024 my main focus is on Magnadur and My podcast Metal madness weekly, these
other projects i rest for a while.
7. Your
live performances are known for their intensity and energy. How do you prepare
for your live shows, and what do you hope audiences take away from your
performances?
I havent
started making live perfomance yet but i promise when i start to make live
shows its going to be full of energy and great show!
8. Are
there any Finnish metal bands or artists that have particularly influenced your
sound or style? If so, how have they impacted your music?
Not really
i try to do my own way music its just comes this way out of my head, but
Finnish band that i have listened a lot in the past and also these days that i
highly admire are: Sentenced, Amorphis,Diablo,kalmah,Stone,bloodred hourglass
etc! Bands that i listen from globally are Job for cowboy,Decapitated,Arch
enemy etc.
9. Looking
ahead, what are your aspirations for Magnadur? Any long-term goals or dreams
you hope to achieve with the band?
My dream
would be making live shows around globe and that people would listen my music
all over world. 10. Its getting more brutal and harder so thats the direction i
am focussing now and I have Feature artists particupating on some of my future
project thats one very interesting approach that i am excited about!
